June 22, 2009: Hunterdon County Department of Parks and Recreation is teaming with the U.S. Sports Institute to provide a week long, multi sports camp with different sports from around the world. The counselors are from different countries throughout the world including Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and Sweden, just to name a few. This camp is a multi-cultural experience as well as a full day packed with physical activity. Some of the sports that will be played are bocce, rugby, cricket, badminton, and pillo polo as well as local sports like flag football and soccer. The camp is located at Deer Path Park during the week of August 3rd through 7th. There are two sessions available; Session A is for children ages 5-7 and is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, the cost is $169; Session B is for children ages 7-14 and is from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, the cost for the week is $189 per participant. Campers should pack sunscreen, water to last the entire day, appropriate clothing, footwear, lunch, and snacks. There are still spaces available in both sessions and spots are filling up fast!
