June 12, 2009: Come join us for a unique and free community event at the Red Mill in Clinton on June 13, 2009 from 10:00am-4:00pm. The event celebrates all the treasures the river has to offer and activities will focus on the environment, recreation, and history.
Some activities this event will offer:
- Hunterdon County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer canoeing lessons and will display many other activities taking place in the area.
- The Hunterdon Art Museum will have children’s activities and admission will be free during this event.
- A Fun Bus will be there for children to use to for physical activity from 10:00-1:30pm.
- There will be a guided tour of the Red Mill Museum.
- Jim Holland of Shannon’s Fly and Tackle will provide demonstrations and instruction on fly fishing.
- Bill Boesenberg of Snakes-n-Scales and Turtle Tale will present The Great Reptiles featuring Shakespeare, the Albino Burmese Python and his reptile friends will be at 1:30pm.
- There will be free entertainment by the Long String Band, along with games for all ages, and lots of good food.
